For the longest time I was trying to "find more time" in my day.
Wake up earlier. Stay up later. Squeeze work into every nap, every quiet moment, every TV-show-as-babysitter window. I'd end the week exhausted and barely moved the needle.
Then I flipped it.
Instead of asking "when can I work?" I started asking "what's the ONE thing that actually moves my business forward today?"
That's it. One thing.
Not a to-do list of 14 things I'd guilt myself about not finishing. ONE revenue-driving task per day.
Everything else is either delegated, batched, or dropped.
Here's what that looks like in practice:
→ Each morning I decide the ONE thing. (Example: today it's finishing the sales page for my new offer.)
→ Every nap, every quiet pocket, every early morning gets pointed at THAT thing until it's done.
→ Content, emails, DMs, admin? Batched separately or it waits. It doesn't get to steal time from the ONE thing.
→ Once today's ONE thing is done? I'm off the clock. I rest, I'm present with my toddler, or I get a head start on tomorrow's ONE thing if I'm feeling it.
The shift wasn't finding more hours. It was protecting the hours I had from being eaten by busywork that felt productive but didn't actually grow the business.
Mom time is the most expensive time on the planet. Spend it on the thing that pays you back.
What's the ONE thing on your plate this week that would actually move your business forward?
