Thursday Devotional: Wait For God's Direction
Scripture: 2 Samuel 2:1
Before taking the throne, David asked the Lord, "Shall I go up?"
As women balancing marriage, motherhood, work, and personal goals, it's easy to rush decisions. David reminds us that seeking God's direction should come before taking action.
We can apply this to every major,life changing decisions that we need to make. Remember, God is not the author of confusion. So when it doesn't feel right to your gut, (your intuition and discernment kicking in ) just remember, it could be a delay, it could be a No, but most of all, lean on the Lord for direction. 🙏🏾FIRST.
Reflection: What decision do you need to place before God today?
Prayer: Father, teach me to seek Your wisdom before I move forward. I pray that I learn to be more forth coming and proactively praying when making big decisions, than reactive in prayer and pleading. Father God have your way in my life. Be my guide and make my crooked paths straight, in Jesus mighty name, Amen.
