Hello, new here!
Hello everyone!
My name is Maria, and I’m currently new to the community. I have a 5-year-old daughter whom I travel with frequently between North Carolina and South Dakota.
I’m looking for some guidance on getting started with homeschooling. Although kindergarten is not mandatory in North Carolina, I’m being told that South Dakota requires my daughter to be 6 years old before she can officially begin homeschooling.
I’m a little unsure about what steps I should take from here, especially since she is only 5. I definitely want to get the homeschooling process started and make sure I’m following the proper requirements while also providing her with a good educational foundation.
If anyone has experience with homeschooling in South Dakota, particularly with children under the age of 6 or families who travel between North Carolina and South Dakota, I would greatly appreciate any advice, resources, or guidance on where to begin.
