Two Winters and a Summer
4:48pm, 9:28am, 4:20pm
A Sagittarius, a Capricorn, a Leo
Two winters and a summer
Made me a mother three times
Lest I not forget the child I was forced to abort
Lest I not forget the miscarriage I had,
Bleeding through a practical exam in nursing school
But so afraid to leave class because
I was trying to create a future for the children I had
I let myself bleed out
I failed the test
And every day I feel it’s another test
And I’m scraping this life by its sides
And just like that
I’ve been a mother for eighteen years
And just like that
I have the same fears
