Son
You came into my life like morning light,
Soft and quiet, but burning bright.
No thunder rolled, no angels sang,
Just a beating heart the moment you sprang.
I didn’t know how deep love ran,
Till I saw the world through a smaller hand.
Suddenly time grew sharp and fast,
Every second too sacred to let it pass.
You taught me strength without a fight,
How silence can still hold might.
How laughter heals what words can’t mend,
How broken men can rise again.
If I leave you anything when I’m gone,
Let it be this truth to lean upon:
You were never just part of my plan
You made me more than I was,
You made me a man.
