Learning How
We are so spoiled by advances
No more going outside gathering water
No need to chop and cut firewood
No need to learn how to cook
Most have never seen a washboard
Modern conveniences are nice
I do love them truly, too much maybe
For when the water goes I realize
How easy I have had it, turn the faucet
Awe, but now I am reminded what luxury
That simple act brings, I miss it!
Just like when the power goes
It quickly reminds us to be grateful
Grateful for what I have, every day
Take nothing for granted, it’s not guaranteed
Learning how to go back isn’t always easy.
