Favorite Poets

I’m curious to know who some of your favorite poets and writers are. Who inspires you and why?
I love confessional poetry, so my greatest influences are Anne Sexton and Sylvia Plath. I also love the interesting, exciting use of language of e.e cummings and how he bravely compromises its syntax. The brevity of William Carlos Williams is also fascinating. Ocean Vuong is a newer poet, but combines intimacy with grime, with ordinary life and experiences.
