Be Still
Be still and know that I am God, he said.
But I have so much going on in my head.
All these ideas I can't keep them straight.
He gently replies to me, be patient and wait.
Waiting on the Lord is not easy for me to do.
Waiting has never been easy, nothing new.
Help me with this Lord, I do pray.
Let me stand and help me to stay.
In your will Lord and not mine I say.
Yet I fight the flesh that wants its way.
I do not want to get ahead of the Lord.
Keep me in one mind and one accord.
Thank you Lord for giving me peace.
My anxiety has begin to cease.
Stand still again I hear him say.
So stand still I will this day.
