🚀 Strategy & Alignment
Most leaders think the biggest threat to their team is lack of effort.
The truth? It’s misalignment.
Here’s what I mean:
Meetings go in circles because the wrong types of people are leading them.
Projects stall because ownership is given to someone without the right genius for that role.
Frustration builds, good people leave… and leaders blame “burnout.”
💡 Here’s the shift:
Every person has a Working Genius — areas where they gain energy and strength.
And they also have Working Frustrations — areas that drain them.
👉 When a team member spends more than 20–30% of their time in frustration zones, output tanks.
So here’s your quick action step for this week:
1. Write down the top 5 responsibilities of each direct report.
2. Ask yourself: Do these tasks align with their natural strengths? Or are they stuck in frustration zones?
3. If you find a misalignment, swap ownership or restructure. You’ll see immediate relief.
🔥 Pro tip: High-performing teams aren’t built by working harder — they’re built by aligning strengths with roles.
This is the first step toward creating what I call the Apex Advantage:
âś… Higher retention
âś… Faster execution
âś… A team that actually loves Monday morning
