This morning I had the sweet honor of guest speaking at CSU San Marcos EXTENDED LEARNING about VoiceOver acting. Still kinda sitting in gratitude about it… because moments like this feels so full circle. To be sought out not just to “talk,” but because of my experience, miles in the booth, lessons learned the hard way, and years of real-world voice acting work again? That hits different. I didn’t walk in as “the expert.” I walked in as a working artist sharing the truth: 🎙️ what it takes 🎙️ what it costs 🎙️ what it gives back 🎙️ and how to build a sustainable creative career Just passing the mic forward the way so many generous humans did for me. If even one student left thinking, “Wait… I could actually do this too,” then the whole morning was worth it. Grateful. Grounded. Still a student myself. And proud that our little 😻 VO trailblazer community keeps opening doors like this. I just wanted to re-live & re-celebrate the moment I had at the IRL meetup we had here in Bali w @Goose Dunlavey and the GOOSIFY CREW! A handful of people showed up & we had a blast! The most delicious smoothies, amazing shawarma wraps & a great informational & inspiring talk that had me applying all the notes to the success of my community! If you can make it to the IRL meetup in your town-do it! It’s worth its weight times 💯!

I was reading Yahoo Mail last night & the article that made me crack up @ unintentionally create characters in my head inspired me to record them for “funsies” and inspo! I finally got to meet the @Goosify & SKOOL crew in real life and whew—SKOOL IRL: Bali did not disappoint. Huge shoutout to @Tony Loew for bringing the room together and creating a space that felt intentional, warm, and high-level. Goose’s talk was everything I love: concise, fun, and genuinely engaging. No fluff. Straight value. I took mad notes because every point was applicable right now, not “someday.” And listen… the food? 🤌🏽 Smoothie bowls, chicken shawarma wraps—nourishing, delicious, and perfect for a day of learning + connecting.
