Greetings All!
Hi Everyone, I look forward to running alongside you (metaphorically) as I begin my preparation for the 2023 Marine Corps Marathon, on October 29, in Washington, D.C. I first ran this marathon in 1983, while assigned to Walter Reed Army Institute of Research as a laboratory/research scientist in D.C.
Shortly there afterward, I exchanged my lab coat for full-time status as a newly ordained single parent of my two young sons and full-time student back in Ohio. Exactly four decades later, I return to Washington D.C., determined to change the face of cancer care in America...and abroad. Running, for me, is a symbolic gesture of committing to a cause...bigger than self!
