stop thinkin you got a good score jus cause it's high
the number ain't the whole story.
i've seen 750 scores get denied for cards a 680 score got approved for. how?
lenders look at the file behind the score way more than the FICO number itself.
what actually moves the needle:
account mix. installment loans plus revolving plus maybe a mortgage. lenders love that. all credit cards? they treat you different.
credit age. score might say 720 but if your oldest account is 2 years old, you ain't getting that 30k limit.
recent derogs. one 30 day late from 8 months ago can kill you even with a 740.
individual card utilization. you might be 9% overall but if one card is maxed, that one card kills your approval.
credit seekin behavior. too many recent inquiries even with a good score equals denial.
high score don't mean high approval. clean file does.
if you tryna stack credit fix the file behind the number not just the number.
