Affiliate Marketing Quick Start: Pick a Niche → Post Content → Get Paid (No BS)
If you want to start affiliate marketing but you’re overwhelmed… this is the simplest path.
This is the Quick Start version of what I teach in my free guide.
The 5-Step Affiliate Marketing Setup (Beginner Safe)
1) Pick ONE niche (don’t overthink it)
Choose something you’ll still enjoy talking about in 2 years, not 2 weeks.
Examples:
- Fitness / supplements
- Golf
- Gardening
- Fly fishing
- Gold panning
- Home improvement
Rule: Pick a niche where you already own products and you’re already solving problems.
2) Pick a content angle (sub-niche)
Don’t be “fitness.” Be one slice of "fitness".
Examples:
- Fitness → supplement reviews / meal prep / home gym gear
- Gardening → tomato pruning tools / seed starting / soil hacks
- Fly fishing → tying flies / gear comparisons
3) Create your profiles + ONE link hub
Make your profiles (TikTok, YouTube, IG, etc.) and use one landing page link so you never have to update old posts.
Why?
- One link goes everywhere (bio + descriptions)
- Add/remove affiliate links in ONE place
- Keeps your system organized
4) Find affiliate programs + add links to your hub
Google: “[company name] affiliate program signup”
Get approved, connect payout method, drop the links into your link hub.
5) Start posting simple “problem → solution” content
You’re NOT making ads.
You’re helping someone pick the right thing.
Basic format:
- What problem you had
- What you tried
- What worked (and what didn’t)
- Who it’s for / who it’s not for
- “Link in bio if you want the same tool/product”
Example (gardening): “Here’s how I prune tomatoes without wrecking the plant. These are the clippers I use. Link in bio if you want them.”
The only rule that matters:
Don’t spend money until you’re making money.
Start with your phone. Manual posting is fine. When revenue starts coming in, THEN you can stack tools to go faster.
