From Transylvanian Roots to Digital Frontiers: My Journey
Hey there! I'm Zoltan Mezei Kovacs, and my story begins in Transylvania, Romania, where I was born Hungarian. Let me take you on a journey that's been anything but ordinary.
🌱 At 19, I started small - literally packing screws in a hardware store. But I was hungry for more. Before I knew it, I'd climbed to sales manager, learning the ropes of business along the way.
🌍 At 21, I decided to shake things up. I packed my bags and headed to the UK. Started with strawberry picking - not glamorous, but when you're young and stubborn, you do what it takes.
🚀 For the next decade, I was on a mission. From picker to irrigation manager, I wore many hats and learned something new with each one. I worked my way up through roles like husbandry worker, irrigation worker, team leader, manager, and trainer.
💼 My hard work paid off when I landed a senior role as a Technical Irrigation Sales Manager. For three years, I covered the entire UK, diving deep into B2B and B2C sales of irrigation materials.
🏗️ Never one to shy away from a challenge, I then jumped into construction. For two years, I've been a jack of all trades - carpentry, decorating, building, landscaping, groundwork - you name it, I've done it.
💻 Three months ago, I took another leap. I launched zmkdesign.com, venturing into web development and digital marketing. It's a whole new world, and I'm loving every minute of it.
🛒 Now, I'm running three e-commerce sites - one for irrigation, another for print on demand, and a third for gifts. Every day brings new lessons, and that's what keeps me going.
I'm here to learn, to share, and to grow. If you're on a similar journey or just starting out, I'd love to connect. Let's help each other navigate this exciting digital landscape!
