Should Governments Tax the Rich More?
It’s a question that comes up everywhere:
Should the rich pay more?
On the surface, the answer seems obvious. But the reality is more complex.
When high earners are taxed heavily:
  • They may invest less
  • They may relocate
  • Or they may reduce risk-taking
At the same time, when wealth is created:
  • Jobs are generated
  • Businesses expand
  • Economic activity increases
The goal of policy should not just be fairness—but outcomes.
Some of the fastest-growing economies do not rely heavily on taxing individuals. Instead, they focus on enabling growth and capturing value through behavior and usage.
Conclusion:
The goal is not to tax the rich more—but to create systems where everyone can grow more.
Reflection:
Is it better to redistribute wealth, or to create more of it?
