One habit I've found really valuable is taking a moment each week to look back at what's gone well.
As artists, it's easy to focus on the next deadline, the next project, or the next problem that needs solving. Taking stock of our wins helps remind us how far we've come.
This week, I wrapped up two large pieces for some awesome clients.
🐉 A dragon forearm for Chris, a huge D&D fan, featuring mountains, ocean, and a lot of fantasy inspiration.
🐍 A Medusa portrait for Lisa, symbolizing transformation and personal growth.
I also got to continue a family crest sleeve for Peter after he'd taken some time away to deal with family emergencies. Seeing a project move forward again after life gets in the way is always rewarding.
One thing I'm reminded of over and over is that tattooing isn't just about tattoos.
It's about the relationships we build along the way.
Many of my favourite clients started as strangers and, over multiple sessions, became genuine friends.
That's something I'm incredibly grateful for this week.
What about you?
