Ostara Nesting Ball: A Gift for the Birds
Spring is the season of new life, and this week we're making something that celebrates exactly that — a gift for the birds.
A bird nesting ball is one of my favorite Ostara crafts because it's not just easy and beautiful, it's genuinely useful. You fill a rattan ball with natural untreated nesting materials (moss, coconut husk fiber, grass clippings, leaves, twigs, yarn) and hang it in your garden or a nearby tree. The birds find it, pull what they need, and carry your offering away to build their homes.
There's something deeply moving about that exchange.
The intention behind this one is simple and pure. It's an offering of abundance and new beginnings. You're literally helping new life come into the world. That's magic of the most grounded, beautiful kind.
Drop a 🪺 below if you're in and stay tuned for a supply list.
