Crypto Phishing Scam (support impersonation)
I just got another text from "Coinbase Support" today and I wanted to make sure we are all on the same page.
The most common crypto phishing scam right now isn’t a genius hacker move.
It’s just someone pretending to be “Coinbase support” or “MetaMask support” or “Phantom support.”
They’ll say something like:
“Your account is flagged. We need to verify your wallet.”
"Your withdrawal code is ____. If this wasn't you, ___"
And then they either send you a link or ask for your seed phrase.
DO NOT CLICK THE LINK. DO NOT SEND YOUR SEED PHRASE.
That’s like someone asking for your bank account PIN + your full debit card + your social… and you actually sending it.
Have you ever gotten a fake “support” message? Where did it show up? Email, Text, X, Discord?
