I remember when Christelle was born — 10 lbs, 8 oz and already full of fire. I delivered her as planned, and she came out talking! She was and is beautiful.
I was so happy and calm during pregnancy. Chris said it scared him how chill I was, but I LOVED being pregnant. I felt peaceful, joyful, and so in sync with my purpose in that season.
And today… we watched our baby girl graduate pre-K— surrounded by both of our parents. I’m so thankful to God that we have them here. That we could experience this moment with the people who raised us, now cheering on the girl we’re raising.
This week we had the honor of hosting both Chris and I’s parents for Christelle’s graduation!
We’ve watched movies, eaten great meals, and laughed until our cheeks hurt. We’ve sat around the table hearing stories about how our parents grew up — stories we’d never heard before. That kind of time is priceless.
Christelle was OVERJOYED to have both of her grandparents in the house this week. She lit up every single day. She was wrapped in love from every direction, and it showed.
Chris and I are both so big on family — and so is Christelle. I love that she’s surrounded by love on all sides. It’s something we pray for, work for, and fiercely protect.
And to the entrepreneur moms reading this…
It’s a lie that building a business means neglecting your kids.
It’s a lie that you can’t be about family and also scale.
If you’re holding back on chasing your dreams for your kids — let me tell you something:
Let them see you do it.
Let them see you try, build, believe, and win.
It’ll build their confidence too.
We take family trips.
We have mommy-daughter days.
We do family day almost every weekend.
Chris and I are at almost every tennis lesson and swim lesson.
And yes — we’re still building a business that impacts thousands.
You can do this.
You really can.
And you can make your own rules.
