Becoming smaller to belong
For years I believed becoming smaller made me a better Muslim woman.
Speak less.
Ask for less.
Need less.
Dream less.
Charge less.
Stay comfortable.
Stay grateful.
Stay invisible.
But nowhere does Allah command us to bury the gifts He entrusted to us.
He commands excellence.
He commands ihsan.
He commands us to walk the earth with humility—not with self-erasure.
