How do I make friends w/ SKool? A bit of a daily update here, anyone?
It's Wednesday August 6th, 2025 and it's a great ST Day! At this point it's 5:30pm. I'm in DaTong Louisa. I've just found a free parking spot after driving back from 24 hours in Kaohsiung. Yesterday I drove with Joe, who's still there through Friday morning - last I heard.
Me - After dropping Joe off, I searched the best rated Indian Restaurant in Kaohsiung. Curiously it was also the least expensive (huh?). Turns out it's on a university student food street. Owners returned to Taiwan from 30+ years in South Africa and boss learned Indian cooking from friends, then modified it to be less oily. It was amazing. So simple. So nice! The best mango lassi I've ever had, for some inexplicable reason. Then hotel rest.
Today:
- as soon as I looked at my phone I saw I missed an appointment w/ Samu and Majo. (Oh dear! I must initiate them to my strange ways of working sooner rather than later. Blush, but ... necessary.)
- a WhatsApp hour with Karla Kadlec on an offshore Vancouver island. She wants to visit for her 50th birthday in December. We're ideating. How might that happen "the Studio Tainan way?"
- 10 minutes with my mom in SW New York State - her granddaughter and 2 great grandsons visited a couple days this week before traveling back to Texas
- drove to a coffee shop near today's work
- arrived early to set up a plan on the whiteboard so when sponsors entered we could use the format to hold their key points
- We agreed I was coming for 1 90min. action learning. That was fantastic. AND they then requested an extra 2.5 hours to continue the work.
- Reflection from owners at the end: You changed our company's culture today.
- me: it was today, plus 4 years of ground work. ^_^ But I'll take the fantastic feedback.
As this is my 1st post I'll throw in a brainstorm.

- Welcome new people to the community - this week DeYing (Tainan Real Estate wizard!)
- Samu & Majo's Volunteering 3-week (late August) Met on the same platform as Robin & Anastasia
- Doula'ing Dimi ^_^ She's thriving, as apparently is their little girl.
- Iterating 1-month personal retreats in a group field (next step - offer 6 mo and 12 mo options)
- End of September 2.5 day Touch of Presence retreat -- Friday, Saturday and Sunday. In Tainan.
- DaTong rental (Sunday handing back the right-hand side)
- GuiRen rental (Introductory course workshop last month was ... ideal)
- Touch of Presence workshops, sessions, training and learning community
- Quick Cranial Touch (QCT) pop-ups, workshop, learning community
- AR Facilitation practice community & training
- Deep check-in practice group
- Skool platform (now!) @ USD 9$/mo until the 99$ package makes sense
- Joe S's 1-month retreat (he flies back on Saturday afternoon)
