My kiddo and I have a feeling wheel on our white board so when either of us is having difficulty identifying or verbalizing our emotions we can take a minute to check in on the wheel both for the one feeling the emotion to know what they are feeling and to help us communicate what we are feeling to each other :) We have been trying this for about a year (some days we are better at it than others) and it really is helpful to have this visual. I was excited to see I have been doing something right haha.
