Are you willing to live for them?
Most men say, “I’d die for my family.”
But here’s the question I asked myself this morning:
Would you be willing to live for them?
Most men are already willing to work hard and provide. That’s usually not the problem.
The real question is what happens when you get home.
Are you truly present?
Or are you just physically there while the TV, your phone, or distractions get the best of your attention?
Are you the man who gets down on the floor and plays with his kids?
Who throws a Frisbee in the backyard, makes paper airplanes, goes on adventures, and creates memories?
Because your kids don’t really care what you do for a living.
What they’ll remember is how you made them feel.
Providing for your family matters.
But your presence matters even more.
Most men are willing to die for their families.
The better question is this:
Are you willing to live for them?
