Generally being done.
This group is for the individual who is generally tired of being tired. A place to vent. A place to fit in. After a life of addiction it can be a scary world we walk into. Enemies we’ve made, family we may have crossed. Sins that can’t be undone. Sure there’s that, but there is also beauty in new beginnings. Starting over with new people can be a good thing. A chance at a clean slate. New optics bring about a new man or woman. It’s not about what you go through, but what you grow through. The world is a better place with you sober. Start somewhere new. Something new. Don’t make the same mistakes that kept you stuck. Easier said than done. Someone once told me “ if you put half as much energy into your success that you did when you were in full blown addiction, you could be someone” Imagine being sick and not finding what you need. It wouldn’t happen. Addicts will get what they need by any means. Now that you have found sobriety. You should use that same enthusiasm to take control of your life. In recovery you must be merciless. Refuse to except stigma, and prove it all with undeniable success. Words don’t mean a thing. Make it tangible. Try harder! Never quit!
