Yo it's DiMaggio the ecom dude, wsp?
you miss every opportunity you don't take, especially if you not in the PRIVATE ecom group Every morning, I wake up and think...
"What do I gotta do today?"
I do my usual routine - pray, check my phone, brush teeth, grab some food.
Then I sit down and start scrolling for a bit.
That's when my brain starts going crazy.
I'll see like ten different products I could test.
"That one's good, but I bet I can find better."
"Nah, that's too similar to what everyone else is selling."
"This one's too boring, nobody will buy it."
After scrolling for an hour, I pick something and js go with it.
U don't need the perfect product.
U need a good enough product and the balls to test it.
Ideas are worthless. The ability to execute them is worth millions.
There comes a point where u have to accept "good enough."
I know this sounds weird since I always say mediocrity will keep u broke.
But when it comes to ecom, what makes a product "great" is subjective.
U take a decent product and make it great through execution.
Not by thinking about it forever, but by actually launching and optimizing.
U can waste years trying to find the perfect product.
They're everywhere.
They all could work.
And that's the problem.
I wasted weeks testing out random products
That was a terrible idea. (Obviously)
But I made it work because I executed.
Ran ads, tested designs, optimized the store.
And it gave me the skills to spot and scale much better products later.
Like the clothing brand that's doing 5-6 figs/mo now.
Could I have started there? Maybe.
Would I have had the same skills to scale it without the experience for the random products?
No way.
So stop fooling urself into thinking u need a better product.
A better niche.
A better mentor.
A better whatever.
Maybe you'll find something perfect later.
But you'll only get there by taking the first imperfect step.
Peace.
