What's your favorite forgotten comedy?

Hello, everybody. I'm Tiago, screenwriter based in Lisbon, have written a few (produced) shorts, a handful of (unproduced) features and currently with either a bad case of laziness mixed with lack of confidence or just a good ol' writer's block (if you believe in such a thing).

Question: what's your favorite forgotten/obscure comedy?

I'm a big Larry Karaszewski/Scott Alexander fan, so I'm always going with Screwed. In case you don't know it, it's this convoluted, twisty and turny, screwball farce with a stacked cast including Norm Macdonald, Dave Chappelle, Danny DeVito, Sarah Silverman, Elaine Stritch and Sherman Hemsley.

Not perfect by any means but I always get a kick out of it. Plus I believe it had a long road to theaters until Universal dumped it in 2000 (it was completed in 1998).

It's also probably more famous for the marquees it inspired (see picture 2).
