Updating my Socials

You know something I never really thought about was having to go back and update all my stuff! Like I never really thought about it! Then I was on yet another webinar learning about how to grow & obtain leads. And the host said something that just struck a cord in me when he said the reason why your struggling to get gigs & leads is because all of your social media is outdated!! And I know I heard this before, but for some reason when he said it, it was like someone just slapped me in the FACE! Like REALLY! I was like come on GOD don't do me like that, LOL. But I have been told and I have heard many times all the greats in the world of speaking say that before decision makers even bother to look at your speaking application or resume they first search your social media! And I can't help but think like dang, all the speaking events I've applied for or reached out too and did't get, was probably because my social media looks like something straight outta the 90s! Is anyone else struggling with this? Like who else social media needs an update? And what are you doing about it? Just curious, let me know in the comments! As for me, message well received and I am now going through the rigorous tedious process of updating all my social media channels! Even here in this group, I have updated my profile and yes this is a current picture of me from this year, 2026 😄 .
