Intro! 💌 From Japan!
Hey. I'm Rachel. I'm orignally from Chicago but I've lived in Japan for 20 years. I am leaving the country I love to returen to the US. I will live in Texas near my cousin and her family. Last time I visited, everyone spoke Spanish and I felt bad that my cousin had to keep reminding her family that I didn't speak Spanish 😭
So last week a friend recommended "Destinos", and I am using AI, like NotebookLM to help me with speaking/shadowing. (this is how I learned Japanese, so thought shadowing is my first step)

I will be back in the US in 3 months, so my 3 month goal is to be able to go to dinner with my cousin's family and be able to understand and posssibly speak in the conversation.
I'm a complete beginner 🫣
