Intro:
Hi everyone, my name is Max and I co-run a 9 piece ska fusion band called Technicolour Steam Train. Mainly looking into how I can grow the band and make it sustainable beyond university as there are a lot of us and limited resources. Specifically any advice on finding the right type of gigs and artists as we are often put on bills with indie/singer songwriters which are fine but not quite the audience that will stick with us.
Another area is social media, what is a good schedule and tips for keeping consistent. Looking at doing 2 grid posts a week, 1 reel, few story posts in between and tackling TikTok. The general idea I'm getting is that you need to post multiple times a day but I don't have the time and I feel like the page will get stale quite quickly.
We're releasing a lot of music this spring/summer and opening up to functions to save up for a van, any suggestions on narrowing the path of progression would be fab!
