Letting Go of The Old Version of Yourself
As I sat there in a meeting yesterday, I noticed something. It was time to let go of the woman I used to be. I thought back to how I used to feel i needed to defend myself or my ideas. How I'd play small so others could have the light and get the applause and credit for the hard work... the dark work that I did.
I had visions and dreams but would stop right at the threshold where the bold move needed to be made to get to the other side.
But in that meeting, a switch clicked. Almost as if i were outside myself looking at the old version of who I was and fully recognized i was no longer her.
Wisdom. Experience. Knowledge. Growth.
It takes intentional HARD work over time to get to that place. A determination to get to a place you know exists even if currently it's only in your head.
Once you find it, never let it go until you get there.
I don't want to make this post, this SoulFire weekly all about me, though. I'm just expressing an awareness and acknowledgement.
I'm curious, have you been in that place before. It's like an awakening. A serious brand new beginning. If you have, I'd love for you to share your story here in the comments.
When did you find yourself there? What caused the need to changer? What steps did you take? If you had advice to give to someone else coming into that place, what advice would you give? Where do you see yourself heading now?
Ladies, this isn't a passive community. In here we lift each other. We grow and help each other. We're here to lead a movement. I'm so grateful you're here with us!!
