Loyalty Over Love
Love can be sweet like sugar on skin,
but loyalty’s the bone within.
Love can fade when feelings move,
loyalty stays, it has something to prove.
Love is a spark, quick to ignite,
bright in the day, gone by night.
Loyalty’s fire, steady and slow,
it stands in the dark when storms blow.
Love says “I feel,” when times are good,
loyalty says “I will,” and it should.
Love may tremble, shift, or bend,
loyalty fights until the end.
So give me truth when passion thins,
give me the promise that always wins.
Choose the heart that stands above—
I’ll take loyalty over love.
