These past couple of weeks have been rough for me in futures trading. I crashed and burned all 8 of my funded accounts and even went on an eval purge after that. Honestly, it was a hard reality check.
I had to step away for a bit, reset my mindset, and really look at what was going wrong. I went back through my training, reviewed my rules, and reminded myself how important discipline and mental control are in this game. Trading isn’t just about strategy. It’s about having the right mindset and sticking to your rules even when emotions try to take over.
Last week I got back to it with a clearer head, more patience, and more focus. Things have been going much better, and I’m currently back up to 3 funded accounts.
Then today happened… completely unexpected. Probably one of the biggest and longest trades I’ve ever held. Ended up passing a brand new APEX eval in a single trade.
Big reminder for myself that setbacks don’t define you. Losing control does. Stay disciplined, trust the process, and stick to the plan.
