The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever is focused only on this world, Allah will confound his affairs and make him fear poverty constantly, and he will not get anything of this world except that which has been decreed for him.
Whoever is focused on the Hereafter, Allah will settle his affairs for him and make him feel content with his lot, and his provision and worldly gains will undoubtedly come to him.”
(Ibn Majah)
This hadith hits deep — especially today, when chasing money, numbers, and recognition can easily pull us away from our purpose.
We often get caught up thinking success is only found in hustle and strategy. But true success begins with sincerity and ends with the akhirah.
Al-Hasan al-Basri رحمه الله used to say:
“O Youth! Seek the Hereafter, for how often have we seen those who sought the Hereafter, and gained it along with the dunya … but never have we seen one chase the dunya, and gain the Hereafter along with it.”
Let that settle.
Whether you're working in remote sales, building something, or just trying to grow — let your goal stay clear: Allah’s pleasure and the next life.
Strive. But don’t forget to pause.
Earn. But don’t forget Who provides.
Build. But don’t forget where you're going.
May Allah purify our intentions, bless our efforts, and grant us success in both this life and the next.
Ameen.
