Hello, future fixers
Hey future member of Solder Squad 👨🔧👩🔧🫡
This is the very first post in what I hope will grow into an amazing little corner of the internet - a place for anyone and everyone who’s ever wanted to learn how to repair small electronics, but didn’t know where to start. Or they started, and quickly gave up when they couldn’t figure it out. Or they broke something 👀
Whether you’re staring at a dead games console, a smashed phone screen, or just curious about what a soldering iron does - you are 100% in the right place.
This group is for:
🔧 Amateurs and total beginners
💬 People who want to ask “stupid” questions without feeling stupid
🧠 Tinkerers and DIYers who want to share what they’ve learned or worked on without having to post it to their personal socials where no one will appreciate it
🌍 Anyone who wants to stop throwing stuff away and start fixing instead
We’ll share tips, tricks, teardown tutorials, what gear to buy, what each tool does, common pitfalls, and probably the occasional disaster (learning moment!) too. And hopefully, over time, this becomes a go-to community to inspire people to pick up a tool and give it a go.

I’ve tried once or twice, but I’m mostly winging it.
I’ve repaired a few things, but I still feel like a beginner.
