Your brain sees pictures before it understands words
Your brain processes images faster than language.
If I say:
Don’t fall
your brain has to picture falling first. Before it can picture NOT falling.
If I say
Stay balanced
your brain pictures balance.
There isn’t really a picture for “not falling”.
The brain has to imagine the thing before it can avoid it.
That’s why wording matters.
When I taught riding, students would say
Don’t go there
But the horse needs direction, not negation.
Go here
Walk
Turn left
Slow down
Your brain works the same way.
It follows the picture in the words.
Make it a great day!
