I want to share something honestly, because I value real connection here.
Lately I’ve noticed how much energy it takes me to constantly “be nice,” polite, filtered, and measured — especially in online spaces. I’m a very human person. I feel things fast and strongly. I get irritated easily, not because I want to be difficult, but because my nervous system gets overwhelmed quickly.
I have autism and ADHD, and that means I don’t always process things calmly or slowly. Sometimes I need time to regulate before I respond “nicely.” Sometimes I’m blunt. Sometimes I need space.
I’m sharing this because I want this community to be a place where we don’t have to mask all the time. Where we can be respectful without pretending. Where we can be real humans having real reactions — and still care about each other.
If I ever seem quiet, direct, or a bit intense, please know it’s not personal. It’s just me navigating my nervous system while still showing up.
Thank you for being here, and for helping make this a space that feels safe, warm, and human 🤍
