Jeremiah 18:1-11Gets a field trip to Pottery Barn
Today, we're going to dive into the book of Jeremiah, specifically chapter 18, verses 1 through 11. Jeremiah was a prophet whom God used to deliver some tough messages to the people of Israel.
About the Verse Events
In this passage, God tells Jeremiah to go down to the potter's house. There, Jeremiah sees the potter working at his wheel, and when a pot is marred in his hands, the potter reshapes it into another pot, as it seems good to him. God uses this powerful image to illustrate His sovereignty and His ability to reshape and mold us according to His will. It's a reminder that even when we mess up, God can still use us for His purposes.
