🚛 The Trucker’s First Step Online:
How to Pick a Side Hustle That Won’t Waste Your Miles
In 15 minutes, you’ll know exactly which type of online business is best for you (and which ones to ignore).
The Pain & The Shift
I remember sitting in my cab at a truck stop, phone in hand, buying course after course.
YouTube videos playing, promises everywhere. And still—I was stuck. Overwhelmed. Lost.
Tired of the grind on the road and no closer to a way out.
I saw others doing it successfully... So I researched for months and months.
OMG, so many ideas, how to choose one was my new problem.
What do I do to even start?
It took me a long time to jump in fully. I dabbled in 25 different directions.
It's impossible to work on 2 or 3 side hustles at the same time and win.
I had to choose ONE to focus on for 12 months. That was when I was able to get good at writing, good at talking to my audience and finding out what they wanted most. Then I built it. One tiny website. One email list. One primary focus. Helping them get what they wanted.
For awhile, you'll make little money, but as you talk to people and actually get them some tiny wins, they create your business for you. They tell you their main problems and where they get stuck.
You can then just create the product/service/coaching they want to pay to learn or do something specific.
Now when I worked on getting traffic I knew who I was talking to and where I was leading them.
Here’s the truth: Most truckers fail online because they never pick one lane. They’re dabbling
in 6 hustles at once. Let’s fix that in the next 15 minutes.
The 3 Simple Lanes for Truckers Online
Affiliate Marketing
Promote other people’s products with simple posts or documents.
Pro: No inventory, no customer service.
Con: Need consistency.
Info Products
Create a 2–5 page PDF or short training on something you know.
Pro: Fast, simple, can be made in a weekend.
Con: Need to pick a topic people want.
Freelance Gigs / Services
Sell skills you already have (research, organizing, writing, even trucking know-how).
Pro: Money can come in fast.
Con: Time-for-money, but a great starter.
The Quick-Win Checklist
1. Do you like sharing what you know more than selling? → Start with Info Products.
2. Do you want to avoid customers completely? → Start with Affiliate Marketing.
3. Do you just want fast cash without waiting? → Start with a Freelance Gig.
Now: Circle your lane. Write down 3 things you could sell, promote, or create. You’ve just
done more in 15 minutes than most truckers do in 6 months.
Next Step
Picking your lane is the first win. But don’t stop here—your next step is building your first offer
(without tech headaches).
