“They were trying to distract me… but I sent this reply: I am doing a great work and I cannot come down.” — Nehemiah 6:3
Not every opportunity is from God.
Not every request deserves your yes.
Not every interruption is harmless.
Sometimes the most powerful leadership move you can make… is refusing to come down.
Nehemiah understood something many high-achieving women forget:
Distraction often disguises itself as urgency.
And if you’re not anchored, you’ll abandon your assignment trying to please people who were never called to carry your purpose.
This week, ask yourself:
👉 What am I saying yes to that’s pulling me away from what God actually asked me to build?
👉 Where do I need the courage to set a boundary... without guilt?
👉 What “good things” are quietly competing with my God thing?
Boundaries aren’t selfish. They’re strategic. They protect your calling, your peace, and your capacity.
Sis, you don’t have to prove your worth by overextending yourself. You honor God when you stay focused on what He gave you.
✨ If you’re ready to lead, love, and live at God’s pace — without burnout — I help high-achieving wives and mothers realign with Christ, set healthy boundaries, and build lives rooted in peace, not pressure.
