Day 18 - Do you have more than you can handle?
If you're feeling overwhelmed that is a good thing. I know you probably are thinking, 'Wait a minute Larry! Doesn't God tell us he won't give us more than we can handle?'
No he doesn't. That idea is totally opposite of reality. In fact when you face challenges you cannot bear and cry out to God saying it is too much. His response is 'No it's not.'
In the moment of our weakness is when we reach the end of our resources - this is when we let go and let God take over.
Here is the verse that is often misinterpreted as God won't given us more than we can handle.
1 Corinthians 10:13 NIV
[13] No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
This verse references temptations not everyday challenges, struggles, loses...etc.
