The Sensory Project Community of Practice is built feet deep in Ayres’ Sensory Integration®️ theory, research, and tools. This depth matters. It ensures that when ideas are shared in accessible language or adapted for real world settings, the integrity, efficacy, and impact of the work are not diluted.
Ayres’ theory provides the grounding. Evidence, clinical reasoning, and co produced tools support how that theory is translated into everyday practice with people, families, and communities. This allows complexity to be held with clarity. .
Being grounded in theory does not make the work rigid. It makes it safer, ethical, and more effective; supporting thoughtful adaptation whike keeping participation, sensory integration and processing, and lived experience at the centre.
This depth enables practitioners and others to work with confidence, curiosity and care, knowing that what they are doing is robust, and that it genuinely supports people to engage in their lives in meaningful ways
