Sleep is important for any child to function at their full potential. This should be encouraged by parents and all involved with the child. Share with your fellow parents and colleagues and even the children so each can hold each other accountable.
When some children see the importance of sleep, and the rewards it comes with, they take responsibility for their own bodies as the feeling of rest and alertness outweighs the constant getting onto trouble and irritability.
