There was a time when ethnographic postcards weren't frowned upon. They usually depicted people from various ethnic groups posed in national dress, often naked etc. Today, they are extremely collectable, and most early cards sell for $30 upwards. Australian ethnographic cards are very desirable.
This "humorous" one dates from 1900-1910, and it goes a tad further than the usual ethnographic postcard. It's unused, so nothing to show on the back, and sorry about the poor image cropping, but the title is "The First Perambulator".
It's incredibly unacceptable by today's standards, but history is history and we need to learn from it.
