Hey everyone! Let's kick things off with a foundational time-saver. Ever create a beautiful piece of art and then need to offer it in 5 different aspect ratios (2:3, 3:4, 4:5, etc.)? Doing this manually is a pain.
Enter the Crop Tool Presets.
Instead of typing in the dimensions every time, you can save them.
- Select the Crop Tool (C).
- In the top bar, where it says "Ratio," click the dropdown and choose "W x H x Resolution."
- Type in your dimensions (e.g., 4 in x 5 in) and a resolution (300 ppi).
- Click the dropdown again and choose "New Crop Preset." Give it a name like "4:5 Ratio."
Repeat for all your common ratios. Now you can resize your art to the perfect dimensions with a single click.
This is a great manual method, but if you want to skip the setup and go straight to automation... you can grab the FREE Photoshop scripts in the Classroom. They're built to make this process even faster!
Your turn: What's one repetitive task in Photoshop you wish was faster?
