This is for my sublimation and digital product sellers. Imagine you need to add a watermark, resize to a specific dimension, and save as a PNG for 50 different clipart files. Doing that manually would take forever.
Let's build a simple Action to do it for you.
- Open one of your images.
- Go to Window > Actions to open the Actions panel.
- Click the folder icon at the bottom to create a "New Set" (e.g., "My Etsy Workflow").
- Click the square icon ("Create New Action"). Name it (e.g., "Resize & Save PNG"). Click "Record."
- Now, every click you make is being recorded. Go through your steps: Image > Image Size... > File > Save As... > PNG.
- When you're done, click the Stop button (the square) in the Actions panel.
Now, you can open another image, select your action, and press the Play button. Photoshop will do the entire sequence for you instantly. This is the foundation of batch processing!
What's one process you could turn into an Action right now?
