Digital Products. Mini Apps and using Artifacts
It seems selling a PDF is "boring" - so ok, what now? Digital experiences. Products that provide an experience. Now - thanks to Djangify - I provide digital experiences and mini apps. It seems artifacts are being called mini apps or dynamic documents or web-based work space. So many names, so little time.
It isn't Wednesday but this is sort of a mini update because I FINALLY FINISHED a site. I can hardly believe it. There is a process all other sites can follow based on this one.
I am about to walk through the structure I have now set up and that I will help other Djangify uses set up so they can sell their digital products. Of course they don't have to but its there and I like structure and systems. So....
You have a Djangify site. You set it up with your products and connect your email provider
You use Pinterest and/or social media to gain attention and You use your link hub on social media
You get people onto your email list and / or registering at your site so they have an account when they are ready to buy
You use order bumps so when people add a product to their cart they can buy another
You use the one time offer available so you can offer a product just once to people. It shows up after they register on your site and go to log in for the first time.
You use PAID hosted artifact tools and link them with your PDF so you can say you are offering a PDF and web-based workspace or mini-app - a digital experience.
You nurture and stay in touch with your email list.
If you want to you run a Skool group so people can connect with each other. I would still have an email list even with a group.
That is the whole structure I have set up so far and have in place starting from zero. If you already have a social media presence and/or email list then that makes it even better.
SO NOW FOR THE LONGER VERSION ONLY IF YOU WANT IT....
What I have been working on is getting a system in place that all sites can CHOOSE TO follow if they want to - no need - you do you - but I thought it might help AND because I am starting from zero with no list and no audience it makes for a better story (apparently)
The system so far is start your Djangify shop
Add a products ladder $7 guide - $17 workbook - $47 (toolkit)
Your site is on ONE TOPIC.
You are a subject matter expert (SME) - which means you aren't trying to figure out who your audience is or what you do. You KNOW. With a passion!
You get people to register free using their email and your email provider (there are over 10 different places on your site you can put a sign up form on like at the end of your blog posts, on your artifacts etc)
You also offer free member resources and encourage people to sign up and register (they need an account to buy anything just like Amazon or any other site)
You use the One Time Offer to offer the toolkit at half price. When they first sign in the one time offer shows up. they have a chance to buy it. Offering what I already have at half price saves me from having to create another product.
They sign in and can download your free members resource(s) that you offered and even if they don't take a one time offer they are on your email list and you can nurture that relationship.
On Your Shop
There is an order bump. When people put something into the shopping cart you can offer them something else.
You use ARTIFACTS or HOSTED TOOLS - you can offer FREE and PAID. The paid ones will link back to your shop product page.
I decided to offer an artifact and PDF for EACH individual product. so people get both.
I am using hero / guide story telling on my sales page and in my emails. I recommend the video I included. Worth the hour or get the transcript and get AI to summarise. and I recommend this account
On Your Blog
You share your expertise in your subject making sure you are EEAT compliant when you write. I include personal stories.
Using Your LinkHub
Its a little like that tree other people use - works the same way! You add links to what you want people to know about you and use it as your main link on social media and everywhere you want to - if you want to - you can just link to the homepage of course.
EMAIL
This is an important part of the whole thing. You set up email then build a relationship. Because I have been focused on setting up the above structure this has gone mainly untouched. The next part I do is create a structure for email. Using story telling. One email a day. That is coming next.
I set the site up. I set the products and the whole system up. I set social media up and then I set up email.
SOCIAL MEDIA
I am using Instagram, Pinterest and YouTube (shorts) for this site. Shorts are made by Claude in minutes. Still figuring out a way to make them more exciting. Pins are based off shorts and made by ChatGPT
I don't care about vanity metrics like follows on Pinterest. Only who saves what I make and who clicks through. I never see anyone I follow anyway.
I started Instagram about 4 days ago and every evening instead of watching TV I have been on my phone liking and comment around Instagram to get noticed.
These are all new accounts so I will NOT be looking at metrics views, likes or anything until 4-6 months. So the end of the year/early next year. Then I will asses what content is working and what isn't. My ONLY JOB is to post content at least once a day ( Which is easy because this is a topic I love.)
and to spend time visiting other people who might enjoy what I offer and leaving likes/comments.
AND Before anyone says its alright for you, you are at home all day without kids - that's true. BUT I am not spending ALL my time doing this. Thanks to my lead generation studio system its taking hours and right now I am about to learn how to BUILD AI EMPLOYEES and that will speed it up even more.
And of course I will share this with Djangify owners but whether it comes with the package or is extra is still to be determined.
By the end of this experiment I will have a fully working shop, with an email list of potential buyers, making sales, and running a business that can not be shut down - its so unfair people are experiencing this and it pays to guard against it. If any of my accounts are shut down then it is what it is because I have my email list and I have my digital business.
