I’ve been thinking a lot about this lately.
Most advice tells men to “be more disciplined.”But in my experience, discipline doesn’t last without hope — not blind optimism, but the belief that sustained effort can actually lead somewhere meaningful.
When that belief disappears, distraction and self-sabotage take its place.
Question for you:
- What gives you hope right now?
- Or, if you’re being honest — where has hope been missing, and how has that affected your discipline?
No need to overthink it. One clear sentence is enough.
