Be the example….
I was driving home earlier and this came to me….
Be the example to others or someone specific that you may be praying to GOD asking him to change them. In my experience he will change us first that we may be the example to others which we want to see and experience. For many that’s exactly what it takes. We shouldn’t waste time matching energies but being the example, aka taking the higher road. In this we are blessed and protected by GOD. It hurts at first to fight the urge to fight back, respond unrighteously but the more we do it, it becomes First nature and that’s what we’re led by. GOD’s spirit in us provides self control. We can’t control others.
