Hey everyone,
Heads up: there’s a new article from The Hacker News about a recent cloud backup breach at SonicWall. Less than 5% of customers were affected, but some firewall backup files with encrypted credentials were accessed.
SonicWall is urging folks to:
- check if cloud backups are enabled
- reset passwords and 2FA/TOTP on devices/firewalls
- limit management access (e.g. HTTP/HTTPS/SSH)
- review logs for unusual changes
I thought this might be relevant to us — best to stay ahead if you use SonicWall or similar backup services.
