Hard Lesson Learned
I’ve only done two projects so far, and the second one was a wake-up call on how important a clear scope really is. My project wasn’t as streamlined as it should have been, contractors didn’t always understand what was needed, and that ultimately came back to my scope not being detailed enough. With no construction background, I even sometimes was relying on the GC to fill in the gaps, which led to some costly mistakes.
That’s why something like ScopeFirst is huge. Being able to build a detailed scope upfront, send it out with pricing already in place, and let contractors accept or pass brings a whole new level of control. The value here is real, and this community makes it even better. I’m currently looking for my next project and excited to share the process step by step.
